PANCHIKO

Singular Artists Presents: Panchiko On July 21st, 2016, a user on 4chan’s /mu/ board posted a photo of a mysterious CD they’d found at a record store in Nottingham, UK: a rough-worn demo titled D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L, purportedly released in 2000 by four musicians: Owain, Andy, Shaun, and John. The listener uploaded the ripped audio—the recordings sounded like they were plagued with disc rot—to file-sharing sites, and later YouTube, where they began circulating among internet music circles. The record’s sensationalist appeal was multifold. Was this an honest-to-God ’90s curio? A prank hatched by internet-savvy teens? An internet experiment in nostalgia, in the spirit of vapourwave? Nobody knew. So the Panchiko hive mobilised, gathering on subreddits and discord servers, examining every square inch of the packaging for potential clues, and even calling the Nottingham record store where D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L had allegedly sprung up in the first place. “I woke up one day,” recounts Owain, “and ping—there’s a message on a defunct Facebook page of mine, ‘Hello, you’ll probably never read this, but are you the lead singer of Panchiko?’” The query took Owain by shock; to his and Andy’s knowledge, D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L> had never been uploaded to the internet. The Panchiko fandom finally made contact the following day, when they received their reply from Owain, a simple “Yeah.” At last, the world had confirmation: not only were Panchiko not 14-year-old kids, they were the real deal, right down to the disk rot. Panchiko are excited to embark on a European tour, having amassed hundreds of millions of streams. They play The Belfast Empire on 30th October 2026. Bach Unseen | David McCann | Northern Lights Mini-Fest Sold out

The evening begins with Bach’s beloved Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, performed by solo cellist David McCann in traditional concert lighting. As the final notes fade, darkness envelops the room and three cellists emerge within a new work inspired by Bach’s suite. Drawing on fragments and resonances from the original music, the performers gradually move throughout the space, altering their relationship to one another and to the audience. Without a visual reference, sound becomes fluid and unpredictable. Melodies appear at a distance, echoes emerge from unexpected directions, and familiar material is reshaped through movement and perspective. The work invites listeners to experience music not as a fixed object on a stage, but as a living presence unfolding all around them. Please note: Due to the low-light nature of this concert, late entry will not be permitted. Much of the concert will take place in complete darkness, and for the safety and experience of all audience members, you will not be permitted to leave your seat until the concert has ended. The Script are coming to Belfast this November! The Script’s phenomenal and long-lasting success has seen them achieve six UK #1 albums and eight back home in Ireland, in the process exceeding 14 billion streams, 5 million album sales, and countless international Platinum certifications led by two US Platinum singles and two US Top 10 albums. Today The Script enter a new era by sharing their new single ‘Man In The Arena’ - the first taste of their new album ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’ which follows on 14 August 2026. The Script will follow the album with a huge UK and Ireland arena tour which is coming to Belfast on Monday 2 November. James Morrison is special guest for Dublin and Belfast dates. Further global touring has also been confirmed - adding to the 4.5 million tickets they have sold in their career. ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’ follows 2024’s ‘Satellites’. It was a record that saw vocalist Danny O’Donoghue attempt to process the grief that followed the tragic passing of his bandmate and friend Mark Sheehan in 2023. The record was followed by a global arena tour in which every show paid tribute to Mark. After the tour ended, Danny found himself energised and inspired. Within a week of finishing, he was writing and recording new material with Andrew Frampton, Steve Kipner and Jimbo Barry, who between them had previously contributed to many of The Script’s huge hits, including ‘Hall Of Fame’, ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ and ‘Breakeven’. Recorded in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles, the result is an album in which Danny has established a powerful sense of purpose and direction for the next stage of the band, full of the real, emotional, soul-deep connection that their fans have come to love. Danny says, “The title is what this album is about. If you need something to remind you of the spectrum of feelings and emotions that make you feel human, this is it.” The skyscraping ambition of ‘Man In The Arena’ lives up to its title, with a hard-hitting R&B groove suddenly bursting into a classic Script mega-chorus built for the biggest of stages: a rousing Danny O’Donoghue delivers a typically charismatic vocal, with lyrics that affirm that the person who dares to put themselves in the spotlight is infinitely braver than anyone who criticises from the sidelines. Its lyrics are taken, in part, from a famous speech by American President Theodore Roosevelt. Danny explains, “He talks about how honours don't belong to the critics. They don't belong to the people sitting on the couch, laughing at the person in the ring stumbling and falling around. The honours belong to the one who gets in there and whose face is marred with dust and blood. I remember reading it and being like: that needs to be in a tune, the energy in it is beautiful.” ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’ is now available to pre-order / pre-save. It will be available on CD and limited

Jack Savoretti Sold out

Jack Savoretti is coming to Ulster Hall on 02 November 2026! Midlife suits Jack Savoretti. Now almost 20 years into his career, Jack has released 8 studio albums to date, including 2 UK number 1’s and 4 UK top 10’s; a prolific output by any standard. At 41 years of age, his forthcoming 9th studio album ‘We Will Always Be the Way We Were’, released 10th April 2026, showcases a self-acceptance that only comes with life experience. Carl Jung described mid-life as being the time when your ego becomes less of a focus and the people around you become more central to your role in life. It’s the point where you take stock and decide whether you are happy with the person you have become, the decisions you made to get there. This is where Jack Savoretti finds himself right now. Had I made this album 10 years ago, people may have seen it as a u-turn, like going backwards. But now it feels full circle- it’s a closure, a summary of everything I’ve done so far. "I went back to record it in Notting Hill, where my career started. The last two albums I made were concept albums (Europiana, Miss Italia), indulging in different sounds, they gave me that space to come back to doing an album about and of myself.” Jack has always excelled at love songs and ballads, but this album is a love letter not to a person, but to this time of life, to the beautiful middle. This can be summed up with the track ‘Do It for Love,’ written about why Jack still makes music- for the love of it. For the love of the audience, the game, the band, the freedom to create a timeless reality. It’s an affirmation in song form. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a healthy amount of self-doubt on the record too (‘Time Will Tell’, ‘Tick Tock’), but it’s the ongoing questioning we all have that reflects the universal experience of life– the ups and the downs, the beautiful moments that play out alongside the painful ones. The loss of a parent, the birth of a child… midlife throws up the most polarising of experiences. The title track ‘We Will Always Be the Way We Were’ is a song that describes the relationship with his wife of 15 years; a love letter to how everything in your life can change, but how those closest to you and your shared experiences are what see you through. It’s the perfect life anthem, so it became the perfect fit for the album title. It’s an album that sees Jack entering an elder statesman-like role, one that Jack can fill easily. An artist who never gave up his vision or compromised his craft, Jack is one of the few UK singer-songwriters from the mid-00s who is still relevant and still plying his trade. Featuring both KT Tunstall (‘Tempting Fate’), another who came up in the same scene as Jack, and new kid on the block Steph Fraser (‘Only Gonna Cry for You’), it’s a merging of eras to create a timeless sound. The sound of Jack hitting his stride.

Alison Moyet Sold out

The acclaimed singer-songwriter Alison Moyet is coming to Waterfront Hall on 03 November 2026! After 2024’s ‘Key’ album prompted a rediscovery of her solo catalogue and her first Top 10 chart position in eleven years, Alison Moyet now announces details of a unique UK and European headline tour which starts in September 2026 . The tour will consist exclusively of songs from the Yazoo catalogue and select tracks from her acclaimed solo electronica albums ‘the minutes’ and ‘Other’ . While a handful of Yazoo hits are staples of Alison’s live sets, much of the band’s material has rarely been performed outside of their two brief tours (their 1982 breakthrough and their 2008 ‘Reconnected’ reunion). This is a unique opportunity to experience songs live that propelled their phenomenal yet short-lived run, which encompassed the seminal album ‘Upstairs At Eric’s’ (certified Platinum in both the UK and US ) and their parting release ‘You And Me Both’ ( #1 in the UK ). Additionally, the tour will also feature select songs from Alison’s critically lauded solo LPs ‘the minutes’ (2013) and ‘Other’ (2017). Both albums, produced by and predominantly co-written with Guy Sigsworth , were emphatically received as triumphant creative returns to electronica making them the perfect partners for this tour. Alison says, Many years touring the same pool of songs and I am keen for a palate refresher. Specifying which years I will be fishing from too, I think is a grand way to serve pot luck for specific tastes. No bones…

Alter Your Native Land: Punk In The North 1976-2026 Exhibition Launch

Punk rock has been a dynamic feature in the North of Ireland since 1976. It has inspired so much great noise, fever and self-awareness. This new photo exhibition by Stuart Bailie presents the alternative faces who have made it such a vital, cultural force. The camera has searched out early pioneers like RUDI, The Undertones, Stiff Little Fingers and The Outcasts. It remembers how the attitude had been passed down to flame-keepers like Therapy? and Ash. And it celebrates the new contenders like Chalk, Problem Patterns, Tramp, Mucker and Éabha. The images have been shot on film and hand-printed in Stuart’s darkroom. It’s a rebellious family album. The best we ever had. Stuart Bailie is a music journalist, author and a co-founder of Oh Yeah. This is his fourth solo photo exhibition. NERINA PALLOT FIRE ESCAPE SYMPHONIES TOUR

Following her acclaimed Royal Albert Hall performance celebrating 25 years of music, Brit and Ivor Novello nominated singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot has announced a new run of intimate dates across the UK and Ireland this autumn. Tickets available from Ticketmaster online (fees apply) or in person from the venue (no fees). The Fire Escape Symphonies Tour will see Pallot return to the grassroots venues that have always been at the heart of her career. Performing completely solo, armed only with her songs, stories, piano and guitar, the tour offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience her music in its most direct and personal form. Spanning England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland, the tour follows one of the biggest moments of Pallot’s career and deliberately trades grand stages for close connection. For fans who discovered her through Fires, A Psalm for Emily Salvi, or anywhere in between, Fire Escape Symphonies promises an evening of honesty, humour and songs that have soundtracked lives for over two decades. “After the Royal Albert Hall, I felt a profound gratitude for every fan won over the years, many of whom had travelled far and wide to see me live. By way of thank you, it feels only right that I return to venues closer to home for them. Moreover, the magic of music often happens in smaller rooms, where every lyric lands and every audience becomes part of the story. Fire Escape Symphonies is about stripping everything back and reconnecting with the songs and the people who have carried them with me for all these years.” — Nerina Pallot

Album Launch: Vein of Folly 2 - @what cost?

Vein of Folly 2 is Leo Miyagee’s and Eulogy Beats’ exploration of the evolution of UK hip hop — a project built from a lifetime of listening, absorbing and eventually contributing to the culture. Rather than treating UK hip hop as a fixed sound, the project moves through its shifting textures, rhythms and possibilities, reflecting on how dramatically the music has developed and how those changes have shaped Miyagee as an artist. The Sound of Belfast event expands that idea beyond the album. A curated listening experience will take audiences through selected moments from Vein of Folly 2, with Miyagee unpacking the sounds and ideas behind the music alongside stories from his own journey as someone who has grown up with UK hip hop and now makes it himself. Eulogy Beats, Miyagee’s collaborator across Vein of Folly 2, is central to that musical exploration. Together, they use the project to examine where the sound has been, where it has arrived and the possibilities still sitting ahead of it. The listening session will lead into a live Miyagee performance, bringing the project's ideas out of the speakers and into the room. Part listening party, part personal reflection and part live experience, Vein of Folly 2 is a snapshot of UK hip hop in motion — seen through the ears, memories and music of two artists helping shape its next chapter. £12.00 18+ Posted In: Live Music , Album Launches Tagged: 18+

BASHT Live Outstore Performance

Bending Sound will host an Album Launch Event at the Empire Music Hall, Belfast to celebrate the debut release ‘Poor Advice’ from BASHT. This will be a live performance at the iconic Belfast venue. The Dublin four-piece channel the raw intensity of their live shows into Poor Advice, a bruising 10-track debut shaped by brooding post-punk, explosive guitars and emotionally charged songwriting. The album confronts power, control and inherited authority, tracing a line from Ireland’s historic entanglement of church and state to the corporate boardrooms and military machinery shaping the present. Produced by Ali Chant, whose credits include PJ Harvey and Dry Cleaning, Poor Advice captures a band turning personal and generational unease into something sprawling and visceral—challenging all the counsel handed down from above: keep your head down, say your prayers and trust the deal. TC.KYLIE — RE:conciliation Album Release Tour 2026

The Black Box · Main Room · City centre · Music
Hong Kong-born, London-based keyboardist and composer TC.KYLIE makes her Belfast and Northern Ireland debut at The Black Box this November, during the opening stretch of her UK and European autumn tour. TC.KYLIE turns cinematic jazz fusion into high-energy sonic storytelling. Piano, synths and her signature keytar move between driving Japanese jazz-rock, acid grooves and improvisation, while SEGA-era textures collide with moments of Studio Ghibli-like warmth . Her musical touchstones stretch from the improvisational energy of Hiromi Uehara to the explosive momentum of fox capture plan and jizue . Before building her music career, TC.KYLIE worked in news and documentary journalism at Hong Kong’s public broadcaster RTHK. That documentarian instinct still shapes how she writes: experiences, memories and emotional details that once became stories on screen now find their way into instrumental music. The medium has changed, but the impulse remains the same — to observe, remember and document through sound. Her forthcoming debut album, RE:conciliation , follows the stages of a lifetime — from childhood wonder and youthful rebellion through ambition, burnout and grief, towards acceptance and returning to where everything began. Her debut EP RE:birth was described by Jazz Journal as “a lovely mix of European and Asian influences… reminiscent of a Studio Ghibli soundtrack,” calling it “immersive” and “the sonic equivalent of a sunrise.” Since then, TC.KYLIE has built a sold-out UK and European headline run including Ronnie Scott’s London and A-Trane Berlin , appeared at the V&A Performance Festival , and supported Takuya Kuroda, Kyoto Jazz Massive and Butcher Brown . On 11 November, that world reaches Belfast for the first time. TC.KYLIE – Keys / Keytar Karlos Hall – Drums Indigo Pearce – Bass Natasha Petrović – Violin Alex Skinner – Saxophone

Celebrating Our Showbands

This nostalgic talk will celebrate the showbands that dominated the Belfast music scene back in the 1950s and 60s. It will highlight the characteristics of showbands from this period -from the music to the snazzy suits – and explore how they evolved and adapted in later years. The talk will celebrate some of the key figures and groups that shaped the showband scene here. It will also highlight various venues across Belfast that would have hosted showband performances, from the large city centre halls like the Plaza to the smaller east Belfast venues. It will also reflect on the Strand’s days as a Variety Theatre, when showbands from across the country graced our stage. This richly illustrated presentation, by our Heritage Manager Rosie, will also draw upon fascinating archive footage alongside new interviews. Part of our ‘Heritage Talks’ programme: free talks about the heritage of the local area, followed by a cuppa and a chat. Hosted by the Strand at our ‘pop-up’ venue at Belmont Bowling Club. Hanna Tams (Palestine), Huartan + support

A concert of artists representing international family roots and featuring a curated music dance collaboration between Palestinian dance, Hanna Tams and artists from the tradtronica collective Huartan. The concert will be followed by a Q&A discussion At a young age, Hanna Tams set himself apart as a leader in youth engagement when in 2012 he established the Douban Dance Company in Jerusalem. Through his dance company, Hanna serves Palestinian youth who are at significantly higher risk of destructive behaviors than their peers in Israel and the West Bank. Young Palestinians involved in Hanna’s dance company have transformed their lives by countering the predominant pressures of violence, drug use, and school dropout rates among at-risk Palestinian youth. Hanna is a leader in using art for social change. He takes his dance company into schools, after school clubs, and other educational institutes. Today, more than 600 young Palestinians participate in Hanna’s dance program. Through dance, he has opened the Palestinian public to the prospect of credible social alternatives to violence, and he also has changed the attitudes of parents towards the value of arts education for their children. Formed in 2023, Huartan have created an original blend of Irish traditional music and electronica, earning them accolades such as the BBC Introducing NI Artist of the Year (2025), the 2024 NI Music Prize Live Act of the Year, and the inaugural Amhrán na Laoch competition. Through bold reinterpretations of at-risk Irish language songs, Huartan’s self-titled debut album fulfils their mission to connect contemporary audiences with the oral singing tradition and native language of Ulster. Their theatrical live shows playfully channel collective imaginaries of a pre-Christian Ireland, featuring masked performers who embody the presence of the síogaí (fairies/shapeshifters). £10.00 18+ Posted In: Live Music Tagged: 18+

Martyn Joseph

This November, Music Capital and The Crescent are pleased to welcome the Award-Winning Welsh Singer-Songwriter Martyn Joseph to Belfast. For over 40 years, Martyn Joseph has built a reputation as one of the most powerful and compelling live performers in contemporary folk and acoustic music. Armed with just a guitar and a remarkable voice, he delivers performances filled with energy, passion, humour, and emotional depth, captivating audiences in venues of every size around the world. Often compared to artists such as Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, and Bruce Cockburn, Martyn has carved out a sound and stage presence entirely his own. His distinctive percussive guitar style, paired with expressive and thought-provoking songwriting, has earned him the nickname “The Welsh Springsteen”. After signing with Sony Music in the early 1990s, where he released two albums and achieved Top 40 success, Martyn went on to become a pioneer of independent music, launching his own label in 1999 and embracing direct-to-fan platforms long before it became common practice. In November 2025, he released his 28th studio album, Troubled Horses, a haunting and intimate collection of stripped-back acoustic songs exploring vulnerability, humanity, and connection. Martyn’s songwriting continues to receive widespread recognition. In 2024, BBC Radio 2 invited him for a second time to contribute to their award-winning 21st Century Folk project, where he wrote and performed Chapel Porth Beach to mark the 200th anniversary of the RNLI . This followed the success of Albert’s Place in 2023, which led to appearances on BBC Breakfast , BBC Radio 2 , and BBC Radio 4 . His acclaimed 2021 album 1960 was named Folk Album of the Month by Mojo , received four stars from Uncut , and spent much of 2022 in the UK Official Folk Charts . He has also received multiple Wales Folk Award nominations, winning the award for Here Come the Young in 2019. Beyond music, Martyn is deeply committed to social causes. In 2015, he was commissioned by Parliament to write Nye (Song for the NHS) as part of the Sweet Liberties project, commemorating the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta . He performed the song in the Speaker’s Chamber at the Houses of Parliament. Alongside his wife Justine, Martyn also founded the Let Yourself Trust , a charitable initiative supporting grassroots organisations around the world. Over the past decade, the trust has distributed more than £1 million to community projects and charitable causes. With over half a million record sales, 28 studio albums, and thousands of live performances behind him, Martyn Joseph remains an artist driven by passion, humanity, and a belief in the power of song to connect people. His concerts are widely regarded as unforgettable experiences, leaving audiences moved long after the final note fades.

Obtaining nominations for ‘Album of the Year’ at ‘The NI Music Prize Awards’, in Germany at the ‘Music Critics Awards’ and winning the prestigious ‘Ireland Tonight Radio Awards. Dara Dubh is an Irish indie–folk–rock artist whose songs sit somewhere between heartfelt confession and a good kick up the road. A singer-songwriter and harpist with a habit of blending the delicate with the downright fierce, she brings a sharp emotional edge to a sound shaped by folk roots, alternative influences, and whatever else has been rattling around her head that week. With the harp as her trusted companion, Dubh challenges the idea of an instrument often associated with traditional music. The harp has found new life in Dara’s hands as she pushes the boundaries of its capabilities, and a voice that can shift from whisper-soft to unapologetically powerful without warning. A SAMA Best Newcomer nominee, JBL & Martin Garrix Music Academy top 10 UK artists and one of The List’s Hot 100 (No. 57), Dara has taken her live show across the UK and Italy, collecting a run of sold-out nights in Scotland, Ireland, and Italy along the way. Her 2024 EP opened the door to a wider audience, followed by a collaborative EP in 2025 that pushed her sound into new territory. She’s currently working away—quietly but determinedly—on her debut album, set for 2026. With a sound that refuses to sit neatly in any one box, Dara Dubh continues to carve out her own corner of a genre dyfing landscape, one unhurried but unforgettable song at a time.
